The history of the river Teifi dates back to the 11th century and our intention is with the aid of photographs and local knowledge to give you an insight of how the river developed into a major fishing and ship building industry.
We will embark from the jetty in patch Gwbert, at the the mouth of the estuary and travel up-stream to the centre of Cardigan. En-route we will stop at various points of interest to cover the development of the river and discuss how the people once earned their living on this beautiful stretch of water.
We will disembark in Cardigan town for 1 1/2 hours where you will have the opportunity to spend time in the historical town of Cardigan. Possibly visiting the renowned riverside Pizza Tipi or a walk around the restored Castle.
We will then travel back down river to our embarkation point, where you can admire the picturesque River Teifi.
